Rental Requirements

 

• Renters and drivers must be 21 years of age or older.

• A valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.

• A credit or debit card must be provided for our records.

• A signed rental agreement is mandatory.

• A $300 refundable security deposit may be required.

• All requirements apply to additional drivers.

 

Rules and Regulations

 

• Highway 361 Restrictions: Operation of golf carts on Highway 361 is prohibited due to safety concerns and legal restrictions. There is legal crossing points, please check with the city if you are not familiar with those crossing points. 

• Water Proximity: Do not operate the golf cart in or near any body of water, including but not limited to bays, boat docks, shorelines, the ocean, or puddles. Maintain a minimum distance of 100 feet from all water sources. (Water damage fees range from $2,000 to $20,000.)

• Authorized Operators: Only authorized individuals may operate the golf cart. Unauthorized operation will result in immediate rental termination without refund.

• Beach Mileage Limitation: Do not operate the golf cart beyond mile marker 40 on the beach. This point excludes Cinnamon Shores North and South renters. (Mile markers are located on the sand dunes.)

• Dune and Off-Road Restrictions: Do not operate the golf cart in or near sand dunes or in any off-road areas. The beach is designated as a public roadway.

• Occupant Restraints: All occupants, including adults and children, must use proper restraints at all times. No occupant may ride in the lap of another passenger.

• Traffic Law Compliance: Golf carts are classified as motor vehicles in Port Aransas; therefore, all applicable traffic laws must be adhered to. (This includes, but is not limited to, seat belt usage, open container prohibitions, DWI laws, and child safety seat requirements.)

• Fuel Refilling: The fuel tank must be refilled prior to returning the golf cart. (Failure to do so will result in a $35.00 fuel charge to the card on file, unless the pre-paid fuel option has been selected.)

• Rental Property Verification: Please verify with your rental property that there is enough parking spaces to keep your golf cart rental on premises. 

• Cart Safety: To prevent theft, keep the golf cart key with you and remove it when not in use. Avoid leaving valuables in the cart. Protecting your belongings and the cart(s) is your responsibility during the rental period.

Golf Cart Return Limitations and Parking Information: 

To ensure the safety of our customers and equipment, and to provide the best possible rental experience, we have established certain limitations. Due to city restrictions and potential environmental factors, golf carts are not permitted to be returned to the following locations:

• Gulf Waters RV Resort

• Gulf Shores

• Port Royal

• Port A RV Resort

• Paradise Pointe

• Seagull Condominiums

• Sand Piper Condominiums

• Mariner's Drive

• Mayan Princess

• La Mirage

• Grand Caribbean

 

 

Important Considerations: 

These restrictions are primarily due to the significant distance these locations are from our central area. Additionally, we must consider potential risks such as high tides and challenging sand conditions beyond mile marker 40, which could lead to water damage or equipment issues. We understand this may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the safety and quality of our rentals.

 

Convenient Parking Options:

 

• We offer ample parking at our location. Feel free to leave your personal vehicle with us while you enjoy your golf cart rental.

• For added flexibility, you are welcome to park your golf cart overnight at our location and exchange it with your vehicle as needed.
